e-Courts Mission Mode Project
Transforming the judicial system of Manipur through advanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) — enhancing transparency, citizen accessibility, and judicial productivity.
Modernizing Justice Delivery Across 13 Judicial Districts
The e-Courts Integrated Mission Mode Project is a Pan-India project monitored and funded by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, and guided by the e-Committee of the Supreme Court of India. In Manipur, the project empowers judicial officers, advocates, and citizens with seamless access to case information, digital cause lists, video conferencing, and paperless e-filing.
ICT Infrastructure Pillars in Manipur
High-Speed Local Area Network (LAN)
All court rooms, Judges' chambers, Registry departments, and administrative sections across the High Court and District Complexes are fully connected via structured CAT6 cabling and MPLS WAN / SWAN connectivity.
Desktops & Thin Client Terminals
Dedicated workstations and energy-efficient Thin Clients are installed in all judicial chambers and bench sections. All statistical reporting, monthly return compilations, and case tracking are executed electronically.
Case Information System (CIS 3.2)
Daily court proceedings, party notices, summons issuance, and judicial order uploads are conducted through CIS, synchronized real-time to the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG).
Automated Cause Lists
Each court automatically generates its daily cause list through the CIS backend and publishes it directly to the web portal and National eCourts services for public inspection by advocates and litigants.
Video Conferencing & Hybrid Hearings
High-definition Video Conferencing facilities are installed in courtrooms and connected directly with Central Jails, enabling remote witness examinations, remand extensions, and hybrid court sessions.
Green Energy & Solar Backup
Rooftop solar PV arrays and high-capacity online UPS systems have been deployed across remote hill district courts to ensure uninterrupted digital court proceedings during power outages.
